2008-01-16 The main point developed in this interview is that it is useful to have targets. But targets like the Millennium development Goals cannot in a sustainable fashion be achieved through targeted--single focus--policy interventions. This is often forgotten in the current MDG campaigns. Yet the recent, renewed focus on agricultural development could signal that this insight is once again being remembered.
